Submitting Receipts in Light
Learn how to submit and manage receipts in Light using Slack, Microsoft Teams, email forwarding, or direct upload via web or mobile app.
Light supports multiple receipt-capture methods to ensure compliance and accurate bookkeeping. You can submit receipts in the way that works best for you—directly from your daily tools or within the Light platform.
Upload via Slack or Microsoft Teams
Upon a card transaction, you’ll be prompted with a notification in Slack or Teams where you can upload your receipt.
Light will automatically scan the receipt using AI and match it to the corresponding transaction.
This allows you to submit receipts quickly without leaving your communication tools.
Email Forwarding
Forward receipts to your company’s designated receipts email address (for example, receipts.light.inc).
The system will automatically attach each receipt to the corresponding transaction, ensuring nothing is missed.
Upload via Web or Mobile App
You can also upload receipts directly in Light.
Open a specific transaction and upload the receipt manually via the web app or mobile app.
This option is useful if you need to add a receipt later or prefer managing expenses directly in Light.
