Stripe Integrations in Light – Bank Reconciliation and Payments

Learn how to connect Stripe to Light to automatically sync balances, reconcile transactions, and collect customer payments directly from invoices and contracts.

Light supports two types of Stripe integrations, depending on your needs.
They are technically separate in setup but can be used together if you want to both view Stripe balances and collect payments via Stripe.


Bank Feed Integration (Balance & Transaction Sync)

This integration connects your Stripe account to Light’s bank reconciliation module, allowing you to automatically import Stripe balances and transaction data.

To connect:

  1. Go to Bank Reconciliation > Connect Bank > Stripe Account.

  2. Log in with your Stripe credentials.

  3. Once connected, your Stripe balance will appear as a bank account within the reconciliation view

This setup ensures your incoming payments and payouts from Stripe are automatically visible and ready for matching.


 

Payment Collection (Stripe as a Payment Method)

This integration allows you to use Stripe for collecting payments from your customers directly through Light invoices or contracts.

Setup steps:

  1. Go to Settings > Integrations > Add New Integration > Stripe.

  2. Enter your Stripe API key (found in your Stripe dashboard).

  3. In the Light Web App, navigate to Settings > Workflows > Invoice-to-Cash

  4. In top right corner Publish the workflow.

Once enabled, you can select Stripe as a payment method in:

  • Sales Invoices → Create Invoice → Payment method: Stripe

  • Contracts → Create Contract → Payment method: Stripe

If you also integrate with Salesforce, Light automatically sends a Stripe payment link to your customer when an opportunity is marked as Closed/Won.

💡Note:  When a customer saves their payment details through Stripe, Light will automatically reuse these details for future invoices—they won’t need to re-enter them each time.
